Over a century ago thousands of Argonauts took part in "The Last Great Adventure", storming through Skagway on their quest for Klondike Gold. As a memento of this journey, they often had gold nuggets fashioned into jewelry. This style of jewelry preserves and presents each gold nugget in its unique form and natural beauty.
For over three decades in Skagway, Taiya River Jewelry owner Casey McBride has carried on this tradition creating finely crafted natural gold nugget jewelry using nuggets from Alaska, Yukon, and British Columbia.
Taiya River Jewelry has closed the Skagway store. I continue to craft jewelry and will offer my work on line on this web site and will also have our pieces at locations in Skagway.
